Information used by Fit Finder
Fit Finder may process the information you choose to provide, including height, weight, body measurements, usual clothing size, fit preferences and the product being considered. If the feature offers photo-assisted guidance, a photograph is optional. The non-photo Quick Fit route remains available and does not require a photograph.
Do not upload a photograph containing another person, an identity document, medical information or anything unrelated to obtaining a clothing-size recommendation. Sleepy Sloth does not use Fit Finder photographs for facial recognition or to infer health, ethnicity or other special-category characteristics.
Why we use this information
The information is used to generate a product-size recommendation, explain that recommendation, improve the immediate shopping experience, prevent misuse and diagnose technical faults. A recommendation is guidance only. It does not make a legal or similarly significant decision about you.
The proposed lawful basis for processing information submitted to obtain a recommendation is taking steps at your request before entering a contract and Sleepy Sloth's legitimate interest in helping customers choose an appropriate size and reduce avoidable returns. Where optional photo processing requires consent following review of the deployed implementation, the interface and this notice must identify that basis and provide an equally usable non-photo route.
Service providers and OpenAI
Sleepy Sloth uses service providers to operate the storefront and Fit Finder. Fit Finder data is sent to OpenAI as a processor to generate the requested recommendation. OpenAI must not be described as having Zero Data Retention, a particular retention period, or a particular processing region until the production organisation and endpoint have been checked.
OpenAI and other suppliers may process data outside the United Kingdom. Where this occurs, Sleepy Sloth will use an approved safeguard, such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement, the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, or an applicable UK adequacy regulation. The final notice must identify the safeguard actually used.
Retention
Fit Finder inputs and photographs should be retained only for the time required to return the recommendation, unless the customer actively chooses to save information or short-term diagnostic retention is strictly necessary.
When retention expires, the information will be deleted or irreversibly anonymised. Backups may persist for a limited, documented recovery period. The final notice must state those periods accurately.
Your choices and rights
You can use Quick Fit without a photograph. If processing relies on consent, you can withdraw that consent at any time without affecting processing that already took place lawfully. You may also ask for access to, correction of, deletion of, restriction of or transfer of your personal information, and object to processing based on legitimate interests.
To exercise a right, email info@sleepy-sloth.co.uk. We may need information to verify your identity. You may complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk, although we would welcome the chance to address your concern first.
Cookies and similar technologies
Non-essential analytics and advertising technologies are used only after the required consent. The storefront must offer Accept and Reject All with equal prominence, remember the choice, and provide a persistent way to withdraw or change consent. The cookie notice should identify the active Shopify-managed pixels, Meta, Contentsquare or Hotjar, Klaviyo and any other technology observed in a clean-session network audit.
Children
Fit Finder is not intended to collect photographs or measurements directly from children.
