Sleepy Sloth was proud to be invited to take part in a very special Autumn Equinox celebration at Bowland House in Chipping, Lancashire, an evening of candlelit Vinysa, live music, movement and beautifully considered details.
Hosted by Gemma Sheppard of Voyages & Vanity, the event took place on Sunday 20 September 2026 at Bowland House, formerly the Gibbon Bridge Hotel, in collaboration with Porsche and The Yoga Social Club.
As the light faded, guests gathered beneath the glow of hundreds of candles for restorative yoga led by Chrissie Whittingham, accompanied by a live string quartet, before the evening moved into Champagne and conversation.
An Autumn Equinox Evening at Bowland House
The setting felt made for the occasion. Bowland House provided a calm, elegant backdrop for an event centred around wellness and connection, with candlelight transforming the room as the evening began.
The atmosphere was elevated further by candles supplied by Jo Malone London, while the live string quartet created a soundtrack to the Vinyasa session that made the experience feel intimate and cinematic.
Chrissie Whittingham Leads the Vinyasa Session in Flow State
The vinyasa experience was led by Chrissie Whittingham, founder of The Yoga Social Club.
Chrissie wore Sleepy Sloth Flow State in Midnight Blue while leading the session, a particularly special moment for us, seeing the collection worn exactly as it was intended: moving, stretching and performing in a real vinyasa environment.
Yoga Social Club has built its reputation around creating social, immersive yoga experiences that bring people together, and the Bowland House evening captured that spirit beautifully.
Sleepy Sloth Styling for the Evening
As part of the collaboration, we also gifted two Sleepy Sloth sets for the event.
Singer and actress Chanel Zinyemba wore our Cloud Fit in Powder Pink. Chanel’s stage and screen credits include BIG The Musical in London’s West End and Sky’s Hitmen, and she is regularly seen attending entertainment and red-carpet events in London.
Tallulah Wren - Tallulah who is professionally involved in the F1 industry & Stylist wore our Power-Fit set, giving the evening another distinct Sleepy Sloth look alongside Chanel’s softer Powder Pink Cloud Fit and Chrissie’s Midnight Blue Flow State.
From Candlelight to Live Strings
What made the evening stand out was the combination of details rather than any single element: a beautiful venue, restorative movement, live strings, candlelight, considered styling and time for guests to simply enjoy being together.
For Sleepy Sloth, being invited into that environment felt especially meaningful. Our brand has always been built around more than activewear alone, movement, wellbeing, community and a more intentional way of doing things are all part of the wider idea behind Wear With Purpose.
