If you’re looking for things to do in Wirral this weekend, we’ve got a good one for you.

Sleepy Sloth will be at the Wirral Wellness Festival 2026 on Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th September, joining more than 100 independent businesses, wellness experts, fitness professionals and community organisations in the beautiful surroundings of Birkenhead Park.

And the best bit? Entry is free.

We’ll be there for both days with our Sleepy Sloth stall, giving you the chance to discover our women’s activewear in person, feel the fabrics, see some of our collections up close and have a chat with us about the brand.

For a small independent Wirral business like ours, weekends like this are about much more than setting up a stall. They’re about meeting the people behind the orders, introducing new people to Sleepy Sloth and being part of a local community that puts health, movement and wellbeing first.

Here’s what you can expect from the weekend.

What Is Wirral Wellness Festival 2026?

Wirral Wellness Festival is a free two-day health and wellbeing festival taking place at Birkenhead Park, Park Drive, Birkenhead, CH41 4HY, on 12th and 13th September 2026.

The event begins at 10am on both days and brings together fitness, nutrition, holistic wellbeing, mental health, local businesses, sustainable brands and community organisations for a full weekend centred around feeling better, moving more and connecting with others.

Now in its fourth year, the festival has grown into a major health and wellness event on the Wirral, while keeping one important part of the experience: it remains completely free to attend.

So whether wellness for you means Pilates, strength training, better nutrition, mental wellbeing, trying something completely new or simply spending a day outdoors with friends or family, there should be plenty to explore.

What’s Happening at Wirral Wellness Festival This Weekend?

There’s a lot packed into the two days.

The 2026 festival is set to feature a Fitness Stage, Speaker Stage, Market Street, Kids Zone and Pet Wellness area, alongside live music, DJs, food, drinks, independent traders and wellness professionals.

Live Fitness Classes

If movement is your thing, make sure you check out the Fitness Stage.

Live fitness sessions will take place across the weekend, giving visitors the opportunity to get involved rather than simply watch from the sidelines.

It’s a great chance to discover different styles of exercise, meet local fitness and movement professionals and perhaps find something new to add to your weekly routine.

And considering how much of the Sleepy Sloth community is built around Pilates, yoga, strength training and everyday movement, this is one part of the festival we’re especially excited about.

Wellness Talks and Expert Advice

The Speaker Stage will bring together wellness experts throughout the weekend, sharing advice, experiences and ideas around physical and mental wellbeing.

One of the things we love about events like this is that wellness isn’t treated as just one thing.

It can mean movement.

It can mean nutrition.

It can mean mental health.

It can mean recovery, hormones, sleep, stress management or simply taking a little more time for yourself.

That broader approach is a big part of what the Wirral Wellness Festival is about.

More Than 100 Wellness Stalls

You’ll also be able to explore more than 100 stalls in the festival’s wellness marketplace.

The organisers have revealed an incredibly varied mix of businesses and organisations attending this year, including:

speciality coffee and matcha, healthy food and drinks, protein snacks, Pilates and fitness professionals, women’s health and menopause support, nutrition specialists, health screening services, massage and natural therapies, red light therapy, recovery treatments, vitamins and supplements, mental wellbeing practitioners, artisan products, eco-friendly lifestyle brands and sustainable activewear and conscious fashion.

That last one sounds rather familiar.

Come and Find Sleepy Sloth

We’ll be at Wirral Wellness Festival on both Saturday and Sunday, bringing Sleepy Sloth out from behind the website and into the real world.

If you’ve discovered us through Instagram, Google or the Sleepy Sloth website but haven’t yet had the opportunity to see our activewear in person, this weekend is the perfect chance.

Sleepy Sloth is an independent UK women’s activewear brand based right here on the Wirral, with a focus on activewear designed around movement, comfort and everyday life.

Our collections include pieces created for Pilates, Reformer Pilates, yoga, gym training and everyday wear, including our buttery-soft Cloud Fit range and other Sleepy Sloth leggings, sports bras and matching activewear sets.

More importantly, you’ll actually be able to come over and talk to us.

Ask us about sizing.

Feel the fabrics.

See the colours properly.

Find out more about the differences between our collections.

Or simply come over and say hello.

One of the hardest things about running an online activewear brand is that a website can only tell you so much. Events like the Wirral Wellness Festival give us the opportunity to put the clothes directly in front of people and let the quality and feel of the products speak for themselves.

Sustainable Activewear Meets a Weekend of Wellness

Being part of this particular festival feels like a natural fit for Sleepy Sloth.

Alongside fitness and wellbeing, the 2026 marketplace includes a strong mix of sustainable brands, ethical lifestyle businesses and conscious fashion.

Sustainability has been part of the Sleepy Sloth story from the beginning.

Several of our activewear collections use recycled performance fabrics, our packaging choices are designed to reduce unnecessary waste, and we plant a tree with Ecologi for purchases as part of our wider commitment to making more responsible choices as the brand grows.

We know no clothing business is perfect when it comes to sustainability, but we believe progress matters.

And being surrounded by other small businesses trying to make more thoughtful choices is exactly the type of environment we want Sleepy Sloth to be part of.

Health, Nutrition and Wellbeing

The festival goes well beyond fitness.

Visitors can expect businesses and professionals covering women’s health, menopause and hormones, diabetes and metabolic health, nutritional coaching, health screenings, blood testing and private ultrasound services.

There will also be practitioners offering or discussing areas including reflexology, Bowen therapy, lymphatic drainage, massage, PEMF, pressotherapy and red light therapy.

Healthier Neighbourhoods will also be returning to the festival, providing information about local health and wellbeing support and putting a particular focus on cancer screening awareness this year.

It means you can arrive interested in fitness and potentially leave having discovered support, information or a local service you never knew existed.

Mental Health and Community Support

Mental wellbeing and community have always been a big part of the festival’s purpose.

Alongside commercial businesses, a number of community interest companies and organisations will be present supporting areas including mental health, suicide prevention, cancer support, domestic abuse, grief and bereavement.

It’s an important reminder that wellbeing isn't just about gym memberships, green smoothies or getting your steps in.

Sometimes wellness is simply knowing where to turn when you need support.

Food, Coffee, Matcha and Healthy Treats

A wellness festival without a matcha would probably be against the rules at this point.

Across the marketplace you’ll find speciality coffee, matcha, healthy drinks, nutritious food, street food, protein snacks and other wholesome treats.

Bio&Me is also one of the festival’s community partners for 2026, with fibre and protein bars due to be given to the first 1,000 visitors across the weekend.

So arriving early might have its advantages.

Kids Zone, Dogs and Family Activities

Wirral Wellness Festival isn’t just aimed at serious fitness enthusiasts.

The organisers want wellness to feel accessible, which is why the weekend also includes a dedicated Kids Zone and children’s entertainment.

And even four-legged members of the family haven't been forgotten.

The festival will have a Pet Wellness area, with dog shows and competitions scheduled across the weekend.

That mix makes it much more than a traditional fitness expo. You can spend time browsing independent businesses, watch or join a class, listen to a speaker, grab something to eat and enjoy the park.

Live Music and DJs

There will also be live music and DJs bringing a bit more festival atmosphere to Birkenhead Park throughout the weekend.

Because sometimes wellbeing is also just being outside, switching off for a few hours and enjoying yourself.

We can get behind that.

Why Local Events Matter to Sleepy Sloth

As an independent business, we can spend a huge amount of time looking at website traffic, Google searches, Instagram reach, conversions and everything else that comes with building an online brand.

But none of those numbers replace meeting someone face to face.

Our pop-up events around Wirral and Liverpool have given us the opportunity to meet customers, listen to feedback and introduce Sleepy Sloth to people who might never have discovered us online.

That is why being part of Wirral Wellness Festival 2026 matters to us.

It's taking place in our local community.

It's centred around movement and wellbeing.

It champions independent businesses.

And thousands of conversations can happen over one weekend that simply wouldn't happen through a screen.

If you've followed Sleepy Sloth for a while, come and meet us.

If you've never heard of us before, come and discover what we're building.
